| The Tivo Cachecard allows you to hook your Thomson TiVo up to your network. This allows daily updates over broadband instead of the telephone, easier hacking, TiVoWEB etc.
It also allows you to transfer (or stream) recordings over your network to your PC
for archiving onto DVD.
You can also set recordings remotely via your PC or the internet!
The cachecard speeds up tivo operations on tivos with larger hard drives, and allows network access to your tivo. e.g. the daily call goes over broadband
All our preconfigured drives have drivers pre-installed, so this is an easy upgrade if you have one of our drives already.
The CacheCard is both a network card and a speedup card, it can have 512MB of RAM installed, which will speed up many operations on tivo, especially those with large hard drives and many recorded shows.
The Turbonet is has all the above network functionailty, without the RAM speedup capability.
